Its long lines in the landscape characterize Hotel Føroyar from the outside. The building is a part of the surrounding nature, as if it were carved in the rocks, only the rocks now appear to be glass shimmering in the light.
Inside Hotel Føroyar is an eternally changing play of light and shade, between long dark passages and light and friendly rooms. All rooms share the impressive view over the city.

Accessible only by driving through streams and up mountain sides in a customized 4by4, KOKS is not only the Faroe Islands first Michelin star restaurant, it was also dubbed ‘The World’s Most Remote Foodie Destination’ by the New Yorker.
Staying true to the protected traditional Faroese style building dating back to 1740, we worked with the existing frame adding only structures and materials that would blend in effortlessly. The dimly-lit spaces, accentuates the feeling of this being someone’s home back in the day. Simple yet sophisticated furniture complement the exquisite 17 course tasting menu you will experience, should you be so fortunate to visit.

GRILL HOUSE - located in the heart of Tórshavn.
Designing The Tarv restaurant was all about preserving the ambience of the original building.
The Poul Hansen Heilsøla building is one of several similar warehouse buildings on a row in the harbor of Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands. Over time the building has had many different functions. All of which has worn the building down. Instead of deleting these traces of history, we decided to emphasize them in the interior - preserving structures, pipe perforations, cast iron details, traces of fires and crayon sketches on the concrete walls. This provided quite the personal and honest backdrop and atmosphere for our furniture and bar designs.

New bar design at Fútastova. Our design complementing the existing architecture of this historical building.
For more than 340 years, Fútastova (The Bailiff’s House) has been the home of many prominent historical figures. It has functioned as a school, church, meeting hall, art museum, embassy, concert hall and now a pleasant classic restaurant. A favourite among chefs and connoisseurs, Fútastova offers a unique fusion of Faroese and international cuisine.
Fútastova has also been at the epicentre of Faroese history. Its central location in the historical part of Tórshavn makes it a key witness to many historical events that have shaped the whole country and its people.

Styling can be all you need to rebrand your concept!
When the new owner of this restaurant wanted to recreate the food concept in this otherwise magnificent building structure, the natural thing to do, was to create an Italian homelike vibe, by styling the crap out of it.
Adding only a few new inventory details, such as the overhanging blackboard shelving, and a new wardrobe that stayed true to the existing backdrop.
Plants, wallpaper and an excessive amount of candleholders, pots, pans, vases, cutting boards and other curious items were scattered around the large space. Creating the intended intimate ambiance.
