A new transparent metropol was created, when we transformed the reception area of Y&R. A bridge with top covered in aluminium, wraps the reception desk around one of the many columns in the building, connecting it to the room. Individually adjustable tables raises from the massive yet floating beam in white stained oak, allowing the receptionists greater freedom in their workingpositions.
Aiming to give new meening to the term ”canteen” we used effects such as coloring the floor and painting the walls in a dado kind of way. The lighting and furniture was carefully grouped, thus creating a cosy and intimate atmosphere, intirely different to the traditional working areas. Today the canteen is also being used for informal meetings with clients.
