Etika, Faroe Islands
In the small town of Torshavn, capital of the Faroe Islands with only 15.000 inhabitants, a newly opened restaurant in an urban and international style, has amazed both locals and tourists.
The characteristic local turf roofing contrasts the concrete and steel structures in the modern building situated beneath one of the towns historical buildings.
You can choose to wine and dine in the lounge, restaurant or bar along the floor to ceiling glass facades. To ensure visibility from the outside-in and the inside-out, the walls and ceilings have been painted black, with eye-catching orange details. The guests have a cozy feeling whilst literally sitting in the street of downtown Torshavn.
Early 2010 Etika will open in Copenhagen Denmark, introducing the Faroese fish and seafood to the Europeans.
